How I gave time back to the Founder replacing manual processes with cost-effective technology
Have you ever done something because someone inspired you? I joined a football team recently after watching the Matilda’s. It was the feeling of being part of this sport again, the friendships, the fitness and working together as a team. Without this inspiration I had well and truly hung up the boots. In the competition I’m playing in, last year there were only 4 teams. This year there are 9. Clearly many others were also inspired.
Watching the actions and behaviours of others can both inspire and motivate as well as be uninspiring and demotivating. I think about this in relation to leading change.
A good change leader will:
// Be true to their values
// Understand and be able to communicate the vision for the change // Be a team player in modelling what needs to be done // Listen, support and take action
// Bring the team together on the journey
Reflecting on past experiences, I've seen the profound impact a leader with these qualities can have on outcomes. Love to hear your thoughts.
