Background​

National Property Group (NPG) was a new entrant in the national property data industry having been born out of a long-standing organisation that provided data as well as support services to their real estate industry members in NSW only. Expanding nationally and focusing on data services only, they were a new entrant in the highly competitive property data industry. They were on a mission to establish themselves as the significant number three player.

The Challenge​

NPG’s primary goal was to craft a robust growth strategy and prepare for success.

As newcomers in an arena dominated by industry giants, including Core Logic and Price Finder, the challenge was clear: chart a path to growth and equip the leadership team to navigate it effectively.

Key Initiatives & Outcomes​

Strategic Growth Planning: I conducted an in-depth analysis of NPG’s business landscape and potential growth avenues. Through market research and collaborative strategy sessions, together we crafted a tailored growth strategy that would not only help NPG gain a foothold but also set the stage for sustainable expansion.

NPG are now successfully establishing themselves in the property data market and making significant inroads into previously unexplored territories. They are now a true number three player.

Turning Strategy into an Executable Plan: To bring the strategy to life, I facilitated a workshop to develop a “plan on a page” and challenged the leadership team on what to stop doing as much as what to focus on. This brought leadership alignment as well as clear actions. I continued to work with the team to ensure they stayed on track.

Leadership Development: Recognising that effective execution was vital, I provided mentorship and guidance to the CEO, COO and Chief Data Officer, throughout the strategy implementation process. My aim was to equip the leadership team with the necessary skills and knowledge to bring the strategy to life effectively, ensuring that every dollar of funding was wisely allocated to initiatives aligned with their growth vision.
